šŸŒž Happy Solstice & International Yoga Day!

Get ready to celebrate on June 21 | Issue 014

Dear Beloved Yogi Beacons of Light!

At this cosmic moment of transition, the Solstice, Earth pauses to catch her breath. And, in doing this, she invites us to do the same. Throughout the ages, humans have revered this day, recognizing its magic and the profound connection between humanity and the celestial rhythms. On the 21st, we also get to celebrate International Yoga Day which we chatted about in detail last year on this day when we launched our newsletter šŸ§˜šŸ»šŸ§”

Whatā€™s the Solstice about?

The word "solstice" is derived from the Latin words "sol," meaning Sun, and "sistere," meaning to stand still, signifying the moment when the Sun seems to stop momentarily in its journey across the sky before reversing direction. In the Northern Hemisphere, where it is the year's longest day in terms of daylight, the June solstice is known as the Summer Solstice. On the contrary, in the Southern Hemisphere, it is the shortest day of the year and is known as the Winter Solstice. In December, we were fortunate enough to catch the solstice on the coast of Ecuador surrounded by friends and family - with the sun setting on one side and a full end-to-end rainbow on the other side! We thought we were all dreaming; one of the most beautiful moments in nature we have yet to experience.

As the Summer Solstice draws near for us here in the Northern Hemisphere, it's time to celebrate the light that envelops usā€”the warm embrace of the Sun and its gentle glow within each of us.  Itā€™s a time of abundance and vitality, celebrating the peak of solar energy and the fullness of life. It is a moment for renewal, and setting intentions, encouraging us to honor the cycles of nature and embrace the transformative power of the season.

"As the Sun reaches its zenith on the Solstice, let us align our hearts with its radiant energy and awaken to the divine light within."
